Modern Office Design in a historic building
In this project the architect and construction manager faced two challenges. Firstly the fit out works took place in a historic building, which had some limitations, secondly we were limited by a very tight budget. The space was divided into smaller offices and the client’s wish was to keep the status quo as much as possible.
Our architect aimed to create an airy office with greater flexibility. The largest part of the office consists of an open space, where the various teams’ areas are divided by large flowers or medium height cupboards. Flooring was chosen in two shades to visually separate the work zone from the corridors. The client chose to build only one meeting room and a small kitchen, which was created more comfortably, with informal seating, and which can be used by employees for their internal work or for informal meetings.
